TIPI Rentals

The word tipi comes from the Lakota language.

The tipi is used in different communities for different teachings.

  • In Lakota communities, one is taught to assemble the structure with each pole representing different traditional virtues.
  • In Blackfoot communities, the design of the tipi is representative of their way of life.
  • In Cree communities, the tipi represents the spirit and body or woman and the foundation of family and community.

We offer a variety of tipi rental options for your event, business, or private property. Click below to view our current rental packages.

Nighttime Star Gazing

For thousands of years, Canadian Indigenous people have looked to the sky as a tool, a map, a clock, a calendar, and a guide. In addition to these more “practical” applications, the stars have also served as a strong  pillar for spiritual connection.

Our guided nighttime star gazing excursions will take your breath away as our guides share with you some of the wisdom and teachings of our beautiful celestial world. You’ll learn new perspectives on familiar constellations, the stories of mythology woven into tradition, and how to begin to read the map of the stars.

Aurora Borealis Sights

In addition to the stars and the constellations, the northern lights (aurora borealis) have served as a strong guide to the First Nations people of Canada.

In the teachings of the Ojibway and Cree, the lights are said to represent the spirits of the ancestors that are celebrating life. They are meant to serve as a reminder that we are all part of this shared journey together. The dancing of the lights are believed to form pathways for souls as they travel on to the next world. The phenomenon is also referred to as the “Dance of the Spirits”.

Join us as we take in the incredible, once-in-a-lifetime sights of experiencing these wonder of the world. These excursions are limited to September/October and March/April when sightings are most visible.

Pipe Ceremonies & Drum Circles

Cultural ceremonies serve many diverse purposes. They can be used to strengthen a person’s connection to the physical and spiritual world, provide healing or clarity, mark significant life moments, or offer remembrance and gratitude. Each ceremony has a specific purpose and holds an important place in the culture and traditions.

We offer the opportunity to experience these rich cultural experiences first-hand.

  • Pipe Ceremony – The pipe is very sacred to First Nations people and has been historically used to open negotiations between different nations as a symbol of peace and goodwill. The pipe ceremony is a place for truthful, respectful conversation to take place and for agreements to be made.
  • Drum Circle – Many drum teachings use the circle to represent balance and equality, wholeness and connection. The drum voices our connection to all creation when we drum and strengthens our connection to each other when we drum together.
